Fly fishing is not just for trout. Let Tettegouche Park Staff introduce you to the exciting sport of fly fishing for northern pike, on Mic Mac Lake. You?ll tie your own streamers and tippets/leaders and try your hand at catching pike with them.
There is a 1.7 mile hike to get to the Tettegouche Camp Lodge for this program
Participants will need to bring clothing sufficient for the weather (rain or shine), food, sunscreen and bug spray as needed, and a water bottle. Fly tying supplies and tools will be provided. Tettegouche has a limited number of loaner fly rods so register early to reserve one for your use. A small fish fry may happen at the end of the program?if we catch fish.
Minnesota residents do not need a fishing license to fish on Mic Mac Lake. This program is designed for adults and for accompanied teens.
